Refund policy

Returns

Our returns policy lasts 30 days from when your order was delivered. If 30 days have gone by, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. All returns must be indicated to us prior to return. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer (unless we have told you to do so). If the item you have received has been damaged during transit please refer to the relevant section below.

Several types of goods cannot be returned. These include

·        Goods made or ordered to your specification

·        Special orders from the US (i.e non stock parts- Usually but not always Non-Steeda parts or race specific parts) or unsealed goods. examples:. Velgen Wheels, Steeda Race Components, Whipple Superchargers, Carbon parts.

·        Sale items

·        Downloadable software (e.g. ECU tunes)

To be eligible for a return the following must apply;

1) Item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
2) It must also be in the original packaging
3) You must have proof of purchase.

If you are eligible for a return follow the steps below. In certain circumstances we may accept returns that do not meet the eligibility criteria outlined above. In these circumstances only partial refunds are granted (if applicable) Email us at info@steeda.co.uk to provide us further details. 

1. Notify us of your intent to return via phone, email or website contact form.
2. Return item to the address given below (Using a tracked service)
3. Include your name and order number (e.g. UK1111) on a paper with the return.

You will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs which are non refundable. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in transit to us. Always use a tracked return service which provides adequate loss cover.  

Charges

No charges apply if you have contacted us within 14 days of receipt of your order to notify us of your intention to return the order. You then have another 14 days to return the item to us.

After 14 days of your delivery if you have not notified us of your intention to return your order A restocking fee will apply for each item that is returned. If you notified us of your intention to return the order but we do not receive it within 14 days of your notification, restocking fees will apply. If your original order included free shipping you will be charged for the original shipping cost. 
 

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed. A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

Please note any original delivery charges that you may have paid are only refundable if you have notified us within 14 days of delivery of your intention to return the item and the return is received within 14 days.

Original delivery charges are non-refundable in all other situations.

If you haven’t heard anything about your refund in the first instance please check your tracking to confirm the item has been delivered. If your item has been delivered and you have not had an update about your return please email us at info@steeda.co.uk with details of the return including tracking. During peak periods it may take our warehouse a few days to process returns after it has been delivered.

Once a return has been processed it may take a few days for the money to be appear back on your original payment method, especially credit cards.

 

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled as long as they have not been dispatched / marked for dispatch. Once an order has been dispatched / marked for dispatch. the returns policy will need to be followed. Special order items that are not stock items cannot be cancelled.

 

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. In the first instance send us an email at info@steeda.co.uk to confirm the circumstances for the exchange.

 

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

 

Damage During Transit

If the item you have received is damaged during transit please contact us at info@steeda.co.uk with your name and order number and details of the damage. We will also need the following photos so that a claim can be raised with the courier.

1. Pictures of the shipping label (e.g carrier shipping label)

2. Pictures of the damaged packaging (if applicable)

3. Pictures of the damaged item

Further pictures may be required and we suggest you preserve the original packaging.

 

Lost in Transit

Deliveries can sometimes be delayed due to un-forseen circumstances, always check the tracking to find out the latest status. If the tracking has not been updated or appears to be incorrect please get in touch. In the case of multi item orders, these are sometimes not delivered at the same time, we recommend you wait a few days to see if the other packages arrive. If however, you have not received your complete delivery within 4-5 days after dispatch please send us an email at info@steeda.co.uk with details of your order number so that we can follow up with the relevant carrier. Please note this may take a bit of time as the carrier will need to investigate to confirm whether the item has been lost or is still in their system. We are unable to provide replacements until the carrier has confirmed the item has been lost.
